These are the instructions on how to get yourself measured for Dryline waders. If you have any questions or if anything is unclear, please contact us.

  • Do not measure yourself
  • Wear light clothing i.e. jeans and a t-shirt or thin top.
  • Height measurements to be taken in bare feet
  • Hold the tape measure snugly - not firm or loose.
  • Do not allow for extra clothing, we add extra allowances for clothing.
  1. Chest circumference (for chest waders only): Wrap the tape measure around chest under arms at widest point, have your arms hanging by your side.
  2. Waist circumference (for chest and waist waders only): Wrap the tape measure around waist at belly button height, have your arms hanging by your side.
  3. Hip circumference (for chest and waist waders only): Wrap the tape measure around the hips at the widest point, have your arms hanging by your side.
  4. Underarm to floor (chest waders only): Hold end of tape at the height you want your waders to reach up to under your armpit, measure to floor, have your arms hanging by your side.
  5. Waist to floor (waist waders only): Hold the end of the tape at the height you want your waders to finish at your waist, measure to floor, arms by side. Remember to measure high enough to allow for belt loops, and so you can bend over and have still your bottom covered.
  6. Inside leg length: Hold the end of the tape between your legs at the point where your wader crutch is to sit, measure to floor. Keep your legs and body straight.
  7. Thigh circumference: Wrap the tape measure around the thigh at the widest point of your upper thigh.
  8. Gumboot size: The gumboots we fit to our gumboots are sizes as UK sizings. Sizes 4-13 are available in Blundstone both non safety toe and safety toe. Please note: no ½ sizes available. US sizings are listed when you order your waders.
We recommend going up a size for a looser fit than down to a tighter fit as it is easier to get waders on and off with gumboots which are slightly looser than tighter. Also if you get warm in them or spend some time wearing them your feet may swell and a looser fit will be more comfortable. Remember, you can always wear an extra pair of socks for comfort.

These measurements are required as well as those above for Dryline Breathable Waders.
  1. Foot length: Place a ruler or tape measure against a wall and then place your heel against the wall on top of the ruler and measure from your heel to the end of your longest toe. Remember to add any extra on that is not part of the ruler.
  2. Calf width: Wrap the tape measure around the calf at the widest point.
  3. Thigh to floor: measure from the point you measured your thigh (widest point) to the floor.
